The operations of the Award is dependent on the support of corporate donors and benefactors. Making a financial contribution to Award gives businesses and individuals an opportunity to directly assist in shaping a a better world. Your funds are used for special projects which engage our youth with others in the community where they can make an impact.

Our Friends and corporate supporters ensure the long-term development and sustainability of the Award, giving more Barbadian youth the opportunity to experience new things, develop confidence and learn skills for life.

The Friends programme is our way of recognising and thanking all of our donors whose support is between $3,000 and $300,000.

It is open to trusts, foundations, individuals, corporates and in-kind supporters who share the goal of making an impact on young people’s lives worldwide. Their support ensures the long-term development and sustainability of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award.

We have three levels of recognition for Friends: Gold, Silver & Bronze
